Our Purpose
Empowering Teachers
We develop relevant, comprehensive resource kits with all the materials needed to carry out engaging science lessons. The bilingual kits are delivered to schools using a subscription based library system.

Our Vision
Raising Scientific Literacy
We aim to see every child in New Zealand become scientifically literate. This means they have a clear understanding of science concepts and processes encountered in their daily lives. Improving scientific literacy will have a huge economic and social benefit to New Zealand.
Critical Thinking Skills
Science teaches us how to gather and interpret information, and to make informed decisions. A key skill in light of the prolific ‘fake news’ on all media platforms.
Economic Prosperity
Our future economy depends on advancements in clean technology, automation and digital innovation. A scientifically literate workforce will have the skills to embrace this future of work.
Health & Wellbeing
Science enables us as individuals to make informed decisions about diet, exercise and medical treatments. These choices directly impact our personal health and wellbeing and that of our families.
Our Values
Fostering Curiosity

Making It Count
We are here to make a positive difference in the lives of our children by helping teachers deliver great science lessons.
Empowering People
We create an environment where people can think big, have fun and contribute in a safe and inclusive way.
Being Curious
We ask questions and challenge the status quo in order to create a better tomorrow.

As this was a new curriculum for us at Tarawera High School we were learning together (students and teacher) about the science kits, vocabulary for science as well as experiments. Great hands on resources for students to do investigations with as well as inquiry learning

We did most of the activities in this kit and the students loved it! The kids loved using the stop watches too. The UV flashlights and discovering more “germs” on our hands was a hit.The sneezing zone experiment soon made us forget and we had loads of fun. Thank you for putting these kits together and making them fun to learn Science concepts. Also thank you for all the clear instructions plus even instructions on how to get everything back into the container! Much appreciated.

Some great hands on activities. We were able to deliver some of these activities well for our Special Needs students. The clay model earth, plaster of paris and gem identification in particular were ideal for us. Many thanks.

Students found the kit engaging and fun, especially the eDNA. The kit is also helpful to teachers who lack the confidence to teach science – it makes it easy for teachers to teach the concepts.
